This sensor has oval detection area(19mm×2mm*) by applying non-spherical surface toric lens. - This value is for PD4-35RT/35RS. It is 24mm×2mm for PD4-45RT/45RS.

Detecting principle
It calculates the distance operation with light-receiving level ratio between near and far light-receiving photo diode(PD) in accordance with detecting distance.
