Optical data transmission device (Serial type)

Data transmission device that uses light as a medium.
It communicates RS-232C and RS-422 communication via light.

Since the communication cables between the devices are not needed, it contributes to save wirings, and it is ideal for exchanging data with mobile objects.

Since light is used as the transmission medium, it is not affected by electrical noise or magnetic fields.
Also, unlike the radio wave type, it is not subject to legal restrictions.

There are different types that support open nets such as RS-232C, RS-422, RS-485, CC-Link, Ethernet, and DeviceNet.

We have lineup of long-distance types that can transmit over 100m and small types that can transmit at short distances about 1m.

Since it is a transmission method that uses light as a medium, it is widely installed in moving objects such as stacker cranes.

It also contributes to save wirings in the place where is difficult for cable wirings other than moving objects.
