Phenol formaldehyde

Phenol formaldehyde is a type of plastic made by synthesizing phenol and formaldehyde.
Also known as bakelite.

● It is a thermosetting plastic that has extremely high heat resistance and is hard to burn.
● It has excellent heat insulation and heat is not easily transferred.
● It has high electrical insulation and is used for electronic parts and semiconductor parts.

● Impact resistance is not high.
● It is vulnerable to alkaline solvents.
